A Poem Born from Despair

Disappointment & Misery
In a dark room I lay and cry
with it's black walls and curtains absorbing
any sunlight of happiness that may filter through
to cheer me up if only for a little while.
The obsidian treble clef clock on the wall
makes no sound at all.
I pray that some day it does and on that
day I will smile without reason or fear.

A bouquet of red and black roses sit in a
blood red vase between two blue candles
that towers as their equals in celestial holders.
When all I want is a bouquet of red roses
and white lilies that symbolizes pure love
that a woman has for a man that she's to marry
on their wedding day
Instead of the death of love that only
disappointment and misery had caused.

*Personal note: I was a bit in a gloomy mood yesterday and just lying in my room this popped into my head. I managed to finish it while I had nothing else to do at work.
